In addition to regular appearances with the legendary George Jones, David has performed on the same bill with country music greats, Conway Twitty, Hank Williams, Jr., The Judds, Sawyer Brown, John Conlee, Gene Watson, Mel McDaniel, Johnny Paycheck, Confederate Railroad, Doc Watson, and Jim Ed Brown.
He has entertained audiences at the Nashville Palace, Printer's Alley, The Palomino Club, the WNOX Tennessee Barn Dance in Knoxville, and the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

David has been a regular on the WSM Jamboree, and has performed on the Grand Ole Opry. David also regularly performs fair dates in his home state of North Carolina.

David regularly donates his talents to benefit worthwhile charities including the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, the North Carolina Burn Center, the North Carolina Foundation for the Mentally ill  and Handicapped, and other agencies and organizations which assist disadvantaged children and adults.
David can be seen in the twentieth century Fox release The Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis.
